About Funding

Grants

The Southwest Basins Roundtable plays a major role in allocating state funds for water projects within the basin. Applications to the Water Supply Reserve Fund (see details below) are reviewed by the Roundtable for approval before a final decision is made by the Colorado Water Conservation Board. For other grants, a letter of support from the Roundtable can strengthen the applicant’s case that their project should be funded. Grant applicants seeking the Roundtable’s support can find guidance, grant criteria check list, and application questionnaire below.

The Roundtable funds a variety of projects, provided they further the Basin Implementation Plan goals and objectives. There are also many other funding opportunities to support water related projects through local, state and federal grants and loans. Please use the tabs below to explore those options. Note this is not an exhausted list. It is recommended to contact grantors to learn the most up-to-date information about specific grants and programs.
